We’re playing a super fun revue-style show this weekend w/ our brother band Little Light, helping the one-of-a-kind Jason Anderson kick off his summer tour! It’s going to be a night of all-star jams, special guests & all of our favorite people in one place. It’s also a rare 21+ show for us, so let the beer flow like wine!

There’s a bit of an entertaining controversy slash flame war going on here in Philly over what the right price to pay for a quote unquote DIY show at a gallery should be.

The Slutever / Eternal Summers / Little Big League indie rock night at up-and-coming art/show space (and ex-Diplo studio) PhilaMOCA is drawing a rather heated debate on the Facebook Event page for asking a “$7 to $10 donation” to see two local bands and and out-of-towner.

On the one hand, this ‘exorbitant’ fee (to some) is ‘anti-punk’ and will prevent people from enjoying their god-given right to see live music at an unofficial/non-beer selling venue. On the other, bands are trying to eek out some meager scratch entertaining people to pay for gas and beer - and hell, the organizers are only suggesting a donation.

What do you think?

The punk thing would be to book your own shows & charge as little as you want. Orrrrrrrr you can just complain about it on the internet
